Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Advitya Bansal, operating Work-ly (work-ly.in) as an individual based in India ("Work-ly," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using Work-ly, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Work-ly.

1. What Work-ly is

Work-ly is an AI-assisted career intelligence platform that helps you build a career profile, discover job opportunities from third-party sources, see how well a role matches your profile, and track your applications. Work-ly is a tool to support your job search — it is not a recruiter, staffing agency, or employer, and it does not guarantee you a job, an interview, or any particular outcome.

Work-ly is currently free to use. If we introduce a paid "Work-ly Pro" tier, billing (processed through our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy) and refund terms will be presented to you separately before you're charged, and using a paid feature means you accept those terms too.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Work-ly. You're responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your password and sign-in credentials confidential, and for all activity on your account. Contact us right away at advitya@work-ly.in if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Your content

You own your résumé, career profile, and everything else you submit ("Your Content"). By using Work-ly you give us a limited license to host, store, and process Your Content solely to provide the service to you — for example, parsing a résumé, building your profile, scoring a job, or drafting a cover letter you asked for. We don't sell Your Content, and we don't use it to train third-party AI models beyond what's needed to generate the specific output you requested. Don't upload anyone else's personal information without their permission.

You can delete your résumé/CV files, your career data, or your entire account at any time from Settings. These deletions are permanent and cannot be undone.

4. AI-generated and algorithmic features — please read this

Fit and Priority scores describe how your profile compares to a role's stated requirements. They are not a prediction or guarantee of your chances of being hired, shortlisted, or interviewed.

AI-generated content (including cover letters and auto-extracted résumé data) can be inaccurate or incomplete, including dates and figures pulled from your own résumé. You're responsible for reviewing and correcting any AI-assisted or auto-extracted content before you rely on it or send it to an employer.

Career guidance and pathway suggestions are informational and general — they aren't professional career counseling, legal, immigration, tax, or financial advice.

5. Third-party job listings

Listings on Work-ly come from third-party job boards and data providers (including Adzuna, Reed, Remotive, Jobicy, and similar licensed sources), with the original source and a link shown wherever a listing appears. We don't control or verify third-party listings and aren't responsible for their accuracy or availability. Always confirm details at the original source before applying.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false or fraudulent information, or impersonate someone else.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract Work-ly's source code or underlying models.
  • Use bots or scripts to access Work-ly outside of normal individual use, or try to bypass rate limits or security controls.
  • Attempt to access another user's data, account, or content.
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt Work-ly's infrastructure.
  • Use Work-ly to build a competing product, or resell or redistribute access without our permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

7. Intellectual property

Work-ly's software, design, branding, and underlying technology belong to us or our licensors. These Terms don't grant you any rights in them beyond using Work-ly as intended.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Work-ly is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that using it will lead to any job offer, interview, or employment outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months (or the equivalent of INR 5,000, given Work-ly is currently free). Nothing here limits any right you can't lawfully waive under the law that applies to you (for example, statutory consumer guarantees in your country).

9. Changes, termination & governing law

We may update these Terms or the service over time and will give reasonable notice of material changes. You can delete your account at any time; we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes not resolved informally will be handled by the courts of India — unless you're located elsewhere and entitled to protections under your own country's mandatory consumer or data protection law, which we don't intend to override.
